Jeannie Ford:
Jeannie Ford grew up outside of Atlanta and moved to Birmingham, Alabama during high school. Interstate 20 is the connecting highway between those cities and the Talladega Superspeedway is located almost exactly between the two. In over 25 years of traveling that stretch of interstate Jeannie had never taken the I-68/I-73 exit to the speedway until in her 40’s after marrying into a NASCAR family.
Jeannie graduated from Huntingdon College (Montgomery, AL) and pursued a Masters in Christian Education from Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, VA. She has lived in Arkansas for over 30 years and since 1992 has worked for (in the words of Ricky Bobby) the 8lb 6oz Lord Baby Jesus at Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, serving as Church Educator/Director of Spiritual Formation. Jeannie’s Car History: Not. Very. Exciting. Jeannie’s first car was a 20th birthday present from her parents….a pre-owned Audi Fox (1976ish). It was an automatic, didn’t run very well, but did attract attention from the Huntingdon College baseball team. The most embarrassing car she ever owned: Toyota Tercel Wagon….perhaps the ugliest car ever made! Jeannie’s husband (Collins Andrews III) has had a series of small, fast sports cars that, for all practical purposes, carry one passenger and not much cargo. Since someone had to have a car for travel, kids and pets, hauling stuff, and driving in inclement weather—Jeannie has driven a series of mid-size SUVs including a Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and currently an Audi Q5
